Manufacturing food, designing processes and ensuring quality! Are you interested in how food is manufactured? Would you like to combine science with hands-on work? As a Food Technologist (FZ), you’ll learn how safe, high-quality and tasty products are made from carefully selected raw materials. During your three-year apprenticeship, you’ll gain fascinating insights into food production. You’ll work with modern equipment, monitor production processes and learn how quality, hygiene and efficiency all work together.

What we offer
We offer at least 5 weeks' holiday plus 15 paid public holidays and up to 6 optional bonus days. We have no company holidays at Hilcona. You organise your days off with your line manager and apprenticeship supervisor.

We will also cover your costs for travelling to the vocational school.
Hilcona will bear your training costs. You will receive a grant of CHF 300 for your own laptop. After your successful apprenticeship, you can expect great career opportunities and development prospects at Hilcona. And if you achieve a grade of 5.0 or higher in your final apprenticeship examination, you will receive an additional bonus at the Schaan site.

Your tasks
- You carry out the manufacture of foodstuffs according to specified recipes and procedures
- You weigh out raw materials and prepare them for Production
- You operate and monitor production equipment
- You check temperature, weight, consistency and other quality characteristics
- You carry out simple analyses and quality checks
- You document production data and work steps
- You identify deviations and respond to them appropriately
- You comply with strict hygiene, safety and quality regulations
- You assist with cleaning, changeover and maintenance tasks
