Your tasks
- IT plays a particularly important role in industrial food production, whether in managing hardware, developing applications and tools, or ensuring technical traceability. IT specialists ensure that all staff have access to a modern, fully functional IT infrastructure. They also implement additional solutions from various specialist areas.
- In the Platform Development specialism, you will learn how to set up, integrate and maintain IT infrastructures and network systems. You will commission server systems or networks, monitor and maintain their services, and handle support requests. Your remit also includes the installation and configuration of PC workstations, operating systems, software, firewalls, printers, servers and other peripherals.
- In addition, you’ll ensure IT security, create backups, manage access rights and handle support requests. Furthermore, you’ll support projects, take note of clients’ requirements, assist with the planning and implementation of ICT solutions and provide regular updates on progress. Finally, you will hand over ICT solutions, train clients and successfully complete projects.
- Computer scientists are among the most sought-after specialists in almost every sector. This means you’ll have excellent prospects on the job market once you’ve completed your apprenticeship.
What you bring with you
- Completed primary school (middle or upper years)
- Analytical thinking and a very good ability to think abstractly
- Good maths and language skills (particularly English)
