Your tasks
- Technical and managerial management of a team currently comprising 3 staff members
- Responsibility for the procurement of indirect spend (machinery, capital goods, services, spare parts, consumables)
- Management and implementation of capital projects in close collaboration with the Engineering and Production departments
- Ensuring efficient and sustainable procurement processes
- Negotiating and finalising supplier contracts at national and international level
- Analysing markets, technologies and cost structures to optimise the procurement strategy
- Further development of processes and active involvement in shaping the procurement organisation
What you bring with you
- Basic training in engineering or food technology, supplemented by further training in business administration specialising in Purchasing or a degree (e.g. mechanical engineering / food technology)
- Several years’ solid experience in technical Purchasing, ideally in the food or plant engineering industry
- Experience in leading or participating in capital expenditure projects
- Initial management experience or proven leadership potential
- Very good command of German and business-level English
- An analytical approach, strong negotiation skills and excellent communication skills are just as much a part of who you are as your team-oriented mindset
