Head of Quality assurance & Quality management

Are you quality-conscious, responsible and passionate about food? GOU (by Hilcona) is an innovative manufacturer of ultra-fresh foods in Schlieren ZH, where production is carried out with great commitment and craftsmanship. We are looking for a person of integrity and decision-making ability as Head of Quality Assurance and Quality Management as of 1 July 2026 or by arrangement. In this key role, you will be responsible for maintaining our high standards of product safety, quality and legal requirements and contribute your expertise to the further development of our products. You will work closely with various departments, consistently implement hygiene regulations and carry out training courses as well as internal and external audits. As an expert in our certifications and declarations/specifications, you will play a central role in the quality of our products.

Your tasks

  • Responsible for product safety and quality throughout the entire process
  • Management of the local HACCP team and implementation of food law requirements
  • Organising and conducting internal and external audits
  • Maintaining existing certifications and ensuring compliance
  • Training employees in the area of quality and food safety
  • Creating and maintaining specifications, declarations and article master data
  • Contact person for authorities and external partners
  • Responsibility for processing customer complaints
  • Responsibility for and monitoring of microbiological samples

What you bring with you

  • Completed training in the food industry, ideally with further training in $ Food technology, Quality assurance, microbiology or similar
  • High affinity for food
  • Experience in QA/QM in a food processing company
  • Knowledge of Swiss food legislation, standards and labelling requirements
  • Experience in conducting and supporting internal and external audits
  • Experience in project management and an independent, structured way of working
  • Very good written and spoken German, knowledge of English and French an advantage
  • High sense of responsibility, accuracy and strong communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and ERP systems
